For children 9-25kg. Five point lock, the integral design of safety belt and seat. Six different sitting/sleeping positions. Four safety belt adjustment combinations. Practical belt hooks easy to install in the car. Simple one hand adjustment. The child restraint systems were available for sale from 23 November 2007
Reasons the product is recalled
The products do not meet the requirements of the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZ1754:2004 Child Restraint Systems for use in Motor Vehicles as follows: Clause 3.5.1 (a), (b) and (c) – The child restraint systems do not have an upper anchorage system (or tether strap) and therefore, do not meet the requirements for anchoring the child restraint system to the vehicle frame or body; Clause 3.2.1, 3.2.1 (d) and clause 4.3.1 (c) – The child restraint systems do not have divided crotch leg straps (split crotch straps). This requirement is necessary so that the crotch strap does not load the genital region of the child in a frontal impact; and Clause 6.3b, 6.6 – The type designation (Clause 1.5) is not specified on the outer packaging or on the child restraint systems.
