Mobility chairs consisting of the combination of the Otto Bock Discovery Wheelbase and the Leckey Mygo Seat
Reasons the product is recalled
Testing has shown that the frame of the Discovery Wheelbase, when used in conjunction with the Mygo Seat, does not meet appropriate crash test standards.
The hazards to consumers
In the event of an accident the user may be unduly injured.
What consumers should do
Consumers are advised to cease using the Discovery Wheelbase / Mygo Seat combination as a seat in a vehicle. The chair may still be safely used as a mobility device.
Consumers should be contacted by their supplier within the next two weeks regarding the replacement reinforced model.
