Mowers fitted with an MSV blade disc cutting system
Reasons the product is recalled
If the blade disc system becomes damaged, or is not correctly maintained, the blade disc system can become out of balance, creating excessive vibration which may cause the blade disc to fracture.
The hazards to consumers
The blade disc may detach from the engine. If the blade disc exits the mower housing this potentially poses a serious laceration hazard to bystanders.
What consumers should do
Consumers should take their mower to their nearest Masport dealer for installation of an anti-vibration washer, and replacement of the blade disc if required.
