The product is a wall mount for flat screen televisions that allows them to extend and retract from the wall, as well as to tilt and swivel.
Reasons the product is recalled
The nylon nut securing the TV to the main arm assembly can loosen, causing the attached television to become detached from the arm assembly.
The hazards to consumers
If the defect occurs, this poses a risk of serious injury or even death.
What consumers should do
Milestone and Costco will notify affected customers and will provide a free safety kit. Customers wishing to return the complete product to Costco will be offered a full refund.
