The ACCC today launched its first Facebook page ‘ACCC Product Safety’.
The page, available at www.facebook.com/ACCCProductSafety, is aimed at all Australians who buy and use consumer products and for businesses that make, import and sell them.
By ‘liking’ the page, visitors can stay informed about:
- product safety recalls
- safety alerts
- news, information and tips.
Visitors can also leave comments on different issues and information, as well as engage in public campaigns and activities.
The ‘ACCC Product Safety’ Facebook page is associated with the ACCC’s websites Product Safety Australia and Recalls Australia (www.recalls.gov.au). This is the fourth social media channel used by the ACCC for product safety, joining the:
- @ProductSafetyAU Twitter profile
- ACCCProductSafety YouTube channel, and
- Recalls Australia iPhone App.
Videos from the YouTube channel will also be available on the Facebook page.
